Terms of Service for Rewire

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Rewire (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). This is a legal agreement between you and Sanjana (the "Developer," "we," "our," or "us"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

Information practices for the App are described in our Privacy Policy, published on our website (see Website under Contact Information below). By using the App, you acknowledge that you have access to that policy.

Apple Acknowledgment: You and the Developer acknowledge that these Terms are concluded between you and the Developer only, and not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"). The Developer, not Apple, is solely responsible for the App and its content.

2. Professional Disclaimer (Not Medical Advice)

Rewire is an app-blocking, habit-tracking, and productivity tool provided for informational and motivational purposes only. It does not provide medical, psychological, or health advice.

  • Use of the App does not create a therapist-patient or doctor-patient relationship.
  • Always consult with a qualified healthcare professional before making significant lifestyle, health, or mental health changes.

3. Eligibility & License

  • Age: You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use this App.
  • Scope of License: You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Rewire on any Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules set forth in the Apple App Store Terms of Service.

4. User Accounts and Sign-In

Certain features of the App—including unlocking premium access and syncing selected onboarding data across devices—may require you to create or use a Rewire account by signing in with Google or Sign in with Apple. Account authentication and related profile storage are provided through our backend partner (Supabase), and your use of those sign-in methods is also subject to Google's and Apple's applicable terms and privacy policies.

  • Accuracy and security: You agree to provide accurate information as prompted by your sign-in provider where required, and to keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
  • No misuse: You may not use another person's account without permission, attempt to access accounts or systems you are not authorized to use, or use the App in a way that interferes with our services or other users.
  • Suspension: We may suspend or terminate access to the App or to account-linked features if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or pose a risk to the App, other users, or our providers.

Questions about deletion of account-related data processed on our behalf are described in our Privacy Policy; some requests may need to be completed through Apple or your sign-in provider.

5. Subscriptions, Free Trials, and Payments

Rewire offers premium features via auto-renewing subscriptions processed through the Apple App Store and facilitated by RevenueCat. When you are signed in, your subscription entitlement may be associated with your Rewire account (for example, using a stable user identifier from our authentication provider) so we can restore access consistently across sessions and devices, as described in our Privacy Policy.

  • Free Trial: We may offer a free trial period (e.g., 3 days). If you sign up for a free trial, your Apple ID account will be charged for the subscription price automatically at the end of the trial period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial expires.
  • Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off in your Apple ID Account Settings at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
  • Payment & Refunds: All payments are processed directly by Apple. We do not handle your credit card information. Consequently, all refund requests must be directed to Apple and are handled entirely according to the Apple App Store refund policies.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the App to:

  • Violate any local, state, national, or international laws.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App.
  • Attempt to bypass, modify, or manipulate the App's payment, subscription, paywall, authentication, or account systems.

7. Maintenance, Support, and Intellectual Property

  • Maintenance: The Developer is responsible for providing any maintenance and support services for the App. Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance and support services with respect to the App.
  • Intellectual Property: All content, design, and code within Rewire are the property of the Developer and are protected by copyright and trademark laws. In the event of any third-party claim that the App infringes on intellectual property rights, the Developer, not Apple, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defense, and settlement of such claims.

8. Warranty Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

  • System Limitations: Rewire relies on Apple's iOS system functionalities (such as Screen Time APIs) to restrict app usage. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted or 100% foolproof blocking efficacy, especially if iOS system settings are altered, iOS limitations change, or the App is uninstalled.
  • Third-Party Services: The App relies on third-party infrastructure and SDKs (including without limitation for authentication, subscriptions, and product analytics). We do not control those services and are not responsible for their availability, errors, or acts or omissions.
  • Apple Warranty Limitation: In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the App to you. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the App.
  • Liability Cap: To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the App. In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid for the App in the last twelve (12) months. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the App, including product liability claims or consumer protection claims.

9. Third-Party Beneficiary

You and the Developer acknowledge and agree that Apple, and Apple’s subsidiaries, are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and that, upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary thereof.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India.
