1. Introduction

Sanjana ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Rewire mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of your information.

Our Privacy Commitment: Rewire is built with a privacy-first approach. The App functions entirely without user accounts, logins, or a custom backend server. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any personally identifiable information (PII).

2. Information Collection and Third-Party Processors

Because we do not use our own backend servers or any third-party analytics software, all of your personal App data and usage habits are stored entirely locally on your device. However, to provide premium features and process payments, we use trusted third-party service providers who process anonymous data on our behalf.

A. Subscription & Purchase Data

We use RevenueCat and Apple (App Store) to facilitate in-app purchases, validate receipts, and manage subscriptions. To provide these services, these processors collect:

  • Anonymous Identifiers: A randomly generated, unique string of numbers used strictly to identify your device’s subscription status.
  • Transaction Details: Information regarding your purchase history (e.g., product ID, purchase timestamp, and renewal status).
  • Device Metadata: Basic device model and operating system version to ensure compatibility and successful delivery of premium features.

This data is collected solely for App Functionality. No credit card or billing information is ever shared with us or RevenueCat; all payments are processed securely by Apple. We do not collect the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) and do not engage in cross-app tracking.

B. Screen Time and App Blocking API

To provide the core app-blocking functionality, Rewire utilizes Apple's Screen Time API (FamilyControls, ManagedSettings, and DeviceActivity). We do not collect, store, transmit, or share your app usage data, screen time statistics, or the specific list of apps you choose to block. All app-blocking rules and associated data remain strictly local to your device and are never sent to our servers or any third parties.

3. Device Permissions

Rewire may request the following permissions to enhance your experience:

  • Photo Library: To allow you to select images from your gallery to create your custom vision board.
  • Notifications: For habit reminders and alerts.

These features process data locally on your device. Permissions are strictly optional and can be managed or revoked at any time via your device's Settings.

4. Data Storage, Retention, and Deletion

Because Rewire does not utilize a centralized account system, your app data is stored locally.

  • To Delete Data: You can delete all locally stored App data at any time simply by uninstalling the App from your device.
  • Data Retention: Apple and RevenueCat retain anonymous purchase histories strictly to maintain your access to premium features, prevent fraud, and allow you to "Restore Purchases" if you reinstall the App.

5. Your Privacy Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Even though we do not collect personally identifiable information (PII) and cannot link anonymous RevenueCat data back to a specific individual's real-world identity, global privacy laws grant you rights over your data.

European Union (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Union, your rights regarding any pseudonymous data processed by our service providers include:

  • The right to access, update, or delete the information we have on you.
  • The right of rectification (to fix inaccurate data).
  • The right to object to processing or restrict processing.
  • The right to data portability.
  • The right to withdraw consent.

California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including:

  • The right to know what categories of personal information are collected.
  • The right to know if personal information is sold or shared.
  • The right to request the deletion of personal information.
  • The right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App and updating the "Effective Date."
